Sleman - UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta is one of State Universities under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Culture decides that online lectures will be held until the end of 2020. The purpose of preparing an e-learning platform is to make learning media users be more comfortable. Thus, it is necessary to make maximum preparation for the teaching and learning activities in the odd semester of the academic year 2020/2021 to be carried out properly.

The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Dr. Ir. Suharsono, M.T., ensured that the implementation of the online lectures in the next semester would run better and optimal. For this reason, a new formula has been prepared to carry out online lectures while still paying attention to the lectures’ quality.

The Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs added to ensure the running of qualified online lectures, UPN "Veterans" Yogyakarta has prepared its e-learning platform to be convenient for lecturers and students. "We at UPN are ready, moreover we had the experience before when we had to carry out online lectures suddenly. Maybe we just need information technology preparation and this is still confirmed. Hopefully, it will be ready at the beginning of the new school year,"he added.

The 1st Vice Chancellor also said that there will be special socialization related to the online learning preparation. There are certain technical and systems that will be delivered related to e-learning. Some young lecturers from each faculty have been involved in the preparations made, so that later they can do the delivery and refreshment to lecturers and teaching staff in each of their respective faculties.

UPN "Veteran" Yogyakarta is also preparing an additional strategy that will be carried out in connection with the entry of new students, so that it will still be carried out on the online Campus Life Introduction (PKK). "The main key in this case is e-learning, if the lecturers are ready, the new students can adapt to the world of lectures and can undergo effective online lectures.
